Waymo's Predictive Planning team and its system architecture group are hiring a machine learning engineer to build and deploy deep neural networks that predict the world's future state and plan the Waymo Driver's behavior. Work spans model design, algorithms, pipelines, evaluation systems, and the onboard contract between model and system: kinematics, interfaces, representations. The posting asks for a technical bachelor's degree, hands-on TensorFlow, JAX or PyTorch experience, Python or C/C++ proficiency, and four-plus years in machine learning or autonomous vehicle systems. A master's or PhD and top-tier publications are preferred.
