Waymo's new CORPIO team owns capacity planning and resource optimization for its simulation infrastructure, which runs billions of simulated miles on CPU, GPU and TPU fleets. The role builds production systems for demand forecasting, quota allocation, optimization algorithms and telemetry pipelines, plus attribution models for capacity imbalances, partnering with Simulation, Infrastructure and Finance. Requirements include a quantitative degree, five years of industry data science experience (or a PhD plus three), statistical methods and Python, SQL or R. A master's or PhD, capacity engineering background and HPC familiarity are preferred.
