Samsara's machine learning and computer vision team is hiring an applied scientist to build and retrain ML and CV models for its product lines, with video-based safety the main focus. The work spans petabyte-scale camera and sensor data, optimizing models for backend or edge inference and deploying them with firmware and full-stack teams. It asks for a BS/MS plus five years of computer vision work, or a PhD plus three, and for Python, C++, TensorFlow or PyTorch. The role is remote in the US with up to 5% travel.
