Databricks is hiring a senior AI engineer for its AI Forward Deployed Engineering team in Tokyo, an on-site, full-time role. The person builds and productionizes GenAI applications for customers, advises them technically, and works with product and engineering teams on roadmap priorities. Requirements include experience with RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL and fine-tuning, production deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP, a quantitative graduate degree, native Japanese and professional English, and travel every four to eight weeks. Presenting at conferences is expected.
