Anthropic's Life Sciences group is hiring a computational research scientist in San Francisco. The role covers analysis pipelines behind the team's experimental programs: petabyte-scale sequence analysis, structural bioinformatics, comparative genomics, high-throughput screen design, biological sequence modeling, and the computational infrastructure around them. Requirements include a PhD or equivalent experience, a track record of end-to-end computational biology research, breadth across several areas, and programming in Linux and cloud environments. Claude and internal agent frameworks are used daily, and findings are returned to model teams as evaluations, datasets and failure cases.
