Cursor is hiring research scientists to work on reinforcement learning for coding agents. The work covers improving RL methods for longer-horizon tasks and lower compute, training graders for coding tasks with non-verifiable reward, raising the quality and difficulty of training datapoints, and real-time RL for coding agents. Candidates need deep RL background, strong ML fundamentals, strong programming, and comfort with ambiguous problems and little guidance.
