Cohere is hiring research interns for full-time placements of four to six months, working with its researchers on areas such as base model training, retrieval augmented generation, data and evaluation, safety, and finetuning. Interns design and implement research ideas, train large language models, and publish results, datasets, or code, feeding work into product development. Applicants should be pursuing a PhD in machine learning, NLP, or a related field, or be exceptional non-PhD candidates, and should know Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
