OpenAI's Personalization-Memory team, part of the Personal AGI organization, is hiring a research engineer or research scientist to improve how frontier models use memory and personalize over time. The work covers reinforcement learning, dataset creation, evaluations and other post-training methods, plus building evaluations to track modeling gains and debugging across a large ML research codebase. The posting seeks a background in frontier model post-training, comfort with user signals and human data, and interest in product-driven research. Based in San Francisco, hybrid, three days a week.
