OpenAI's Personal AGI org is hiring a Research Engineer or Research Scientist for its North Stars team, which defines and measures capabilities for models deployed through ChatGPT, the API and future products. The work covers tool use, connectors, instruction following and personalization: setting a research agenda, building evaluations, shaping training data and reward signals, and debugging a large ML codebase. Candidates should have strong ML engineering and research experience and want product-driven research. Hybrid, three days weekly in San Francisco, with relocation assistance.
