Anthropic is hiring a research engineer for its Pretraining team in London, to help develop the next generation of large language models. The work spans model architecture, algorithms, data processing and optimizer development, plus scaling training infrastructure and building developer tooling. The posting asks for an MS or PhD in computer science or machine learning, strong software engineering, Python and PyTorch, and familiarity with large-scale language-model training.
