OpenAI's Codex Research team is hiring a research engineer to improve the agentic models behind Codex, ChatGPT and the API. The work spans designing experiments on coding, tool use, computer use and multi-agent collaboration; building data pipelines, graders, reward signals and evals; and running post-training with RL. Candidates need strong ML or software engineering fundamentals plus hands-on LLM, RLHF or evaluation experience.
