Nscale, which builds an AI-focused cloud, is hiring a principal systems engineer in Singapore. The job centres on bare-metal servers: tracking racks, hosts and parts such as GPUs, NICs and SSDs, applying and validating firmware, setting BIOS options, stress-testing hosts and networks, installing operating systems remotely, managing out-of-band controllers and reading host telemetry. Applicants need a computer science degree, ten or more years in network and systems work, coding in at least three languages, Linux depth, GPU hardware familiarity, Infiniband or RoCE exposure and up to 50% travel.
