OpenAI is hiring a principal security engineer for its Infrastructure Security team, protecting the research and production environments behind its frontier models: GPU supercomputing clusters, multi-cloud infrastructure, datacenters, networking, storage, and access paths to model weights and user data. The role owns multi-quarter security programs and builds controls across hardware, firmware/BMC, operating systems, Kubernetes and CI/CD, leads threat modeling and design reviews, and mentors engineers.
