NVIDIA is hiring a principal research scientist to set technical direction for synthetic data generation across its frontier model work. The role involves building open-source libraries in the NeMo ecosystem that produce synthetic text, code, structured and multimodal datasets for pre- and post-training LLMs such as Nemotron, including agentic and tool-use trajectories and privacy-preserving synthesis. It asks for a PhD or equivalent, 15+ years of engineering and research experience, deep LLM knowledge, and a strong publication record. Work is on-site across five listed locations.
