Amazon's AWS Applied AI Solutions group is hiring a principal applied scientist to lead the science for its life sciences portfolio, spanning drug design tools such as Amazon Bio Discovery and AI for clinical trial and regulatory workflows. The job covers research agendas for LLM reasoning, agentic systems, model customization (fine-tuning, RLHF, retrieval augmentation, domain adaptation) and adapting protein and antibody models, plus publishing, mentoring and working with product, engineering and pharma customers. A PhD and senior applied science experience are required. On-site in Seattle.
