OpenAI's People Analytics team is hiring a People Research Scientist in San Francisco or Mountain View, on-site and full-time. The role designs studies and evaluations of recruiting, organizational health, manager effectiveness and employee experience using statistical modeling, causal inference and machine learning, and builds reusable research pipelines, self-service agentic tools and measurement standards. The posting asks for psychometrics, survey methodology, experimental and quasi-experimental design, machine learning evaluation, R or Python and SQL, and care with sensitive employee data. Preferred: experience evaluating AI-assisted workflows and an advanced degree.
