Physical Intelligence is hiring an ML infrastructure engineer for data systems in San Francisco, on-site and full-time, at mid level. The role builds the infrastructure between raw data sources and model training: ingestion and processing pipelines, batch and streaming workflows, object storage layouts, metadata and indexing, dataset backfills and garbage collection, data movement across clusters, and dataloader throughput. The posting asks for software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems or large-scale pipeline experience, and reasoning about performance, memory, I/O and storage tradeoffs. Bonus experience includes large ML training pipelines and petabyte-scale datasets.
