Waymo's AI Foundations team seeks an ML engineer to build and operate petabyte-scale data systems and pipelines for foundation model development. The role involves moving models from research prototypes into the Waymo Driver and creating automated infrastructure for benchmarking, monitoring and releasing them, using large-scale compute and frameworks such as Flume and JAX. Requirements include a master's degree or equivalent experience, Python, C++, a deep learning framework, and large-scale data pipeline or ML infrastructure work. Preferred: AV planning experience and distributed systems or MLOps work.
