Poolside is hiring an engineer for its Pretraining Data team, part of the Model Factory that trains and scales its foundation models. The work is hands-on: building ingestion, deduplication and streaming pipelines that turn trillions of tokens and petabytes of web crawl into training datasets, and keeping those pipelines fast on large GPU clusters. The posting wants production distributed data experience with Slurm, Airflow or Dagster, Kubernetes, Python, Polars/Dask/PySpark, and batch inference such as vLLM. The team meets monthly in Paris and is fully remote.
