Perplexity's data team is hiring an analytics engineer or data engineer to build and run the company's analytical data foundation. The role covers data models, marts, pipelines, dbt standards, warehouse architecture, permissions, cost and lifecycle management, governance, and privacy-aware access. It also involves making metadata, lineage and semantic context usable by AI systems, and building AI-assisted quality and maintenance workflows. Applicants need 6+ years in a related role, deep SQL, production dbt and pipeline experience, warehouse administration exposure, and a governance mindset.
