Fireworks AI, which sells an inference and fine-tuning platform for open models, is hiring a manager for its Field Engineering team. The job mixes management with hands-on work: leading a distributed group of field engineers, overseeing technical evaluations from discovery through production, hiring and coaching, and writing the team's playbook. The posting asks for eight or more years of experience, two of them managing solutions or field engineering teams, plus hands-on LLM serving and fine-tuning on cloud GPUs. Travel is up to roughly 30 percent.
