A fellowship with Scale AI's Human Frontier Collective, open to PhDs, postdocs and senior industry researchers in machine learning. Fellows are matched to partner projects — evaluating AI models, designing experiments, building reinforcement-learning environments, reviewing and optimizing PyTorch models, and shaping safety and policy guardrails — and may co-author papers with Scale's research team. The engagement is a fully remote 1099 contractor arrangement, paid per project, with no minimum hours; most fellows spend 10–25 hours a week. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
