Scale AI's Human Frontier Collective is recruiting Machine Learning Fellows in the United Kingdom as 1099 independent contractors. Fellows are matched to project work that includes evaluating AI models and AI-generated code, designing experiments, optimising PyTorch models, building reinforcement-learning environments, and writing safety and policy guardrails, with chances to co-author papers with Scale's research team. Applicants need a PhD, postdoctoral or senior industry ML background, plus Python and PyTorch or TensorFlow. Work is remote, hours are self-set, and no visa sponsorship is offered.
