Figure, a humanoid robotics company, is hiring an engineer for localization and mapping on its AI team. The work covers real-time ego-motion tracking and state estimation that fuses cameras, IMUs, encoders and magnetic sensors, plus offline pose-tracking pipelines, multi-sensor calibration and evaluation tooling. Candidates need depth in nonlinear optimization, 3D geometry, visual-inertial SLAM, Structure from Motion, sensor calibration and performant C++. Five days a week in the office. Bonus experience includes SLAM on legged platforms, motion capture, or deep learning for reconstruction and pose estimation.
