Baseten is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to own how large AI customers run models on its inference platform. The role spans inference, post-training and the evals that connect them: framing a problem, building a proof of concept, designing benchmarks, optimizing serving or fine-tuning, and handling on-call incidents. Requirements include one to two years of production software engineering, debugging distributed systems, and customer-facing communication, with optional depth in Kubernetes, vLLM, PyTorch or GPU profiling. Hybrid in San Francisco or New York.
