OpenAI's Forward Deployed Engineering team is hiring an engineer to own deployments of its models inside healthcare organizations — payers, providers, health systems and health-tech companies. Work spans technical discovery, architecture, hands-on implementation, evaluation, production deployment and handoff, building AI applications and agentic systems connected to EHRs, claims systems and enterprise APIs, with safeguards for PHI, HIPAA and auditability. It asks for 6+ years of engineering, ML, solutions or consulting experience and healthcare exposure such as Epic, HL7 or FHIR. Hybrid, three days weekly in New York City, up to 50% travel.
