Baseten is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on architecting, building and deploying high-scale production AI applications on its inference platform. The work spans problem framing, evaluation, deployment and monitoring, plus writing code, specs and PRDs, and touches pre-sales and customer success. It asks for a degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics, two or more years in a fast-paced environment, production experience with a general-purpose language, Python preferred, and familiarity with ML pipelines. End-to-end ownership is emphasized, with exposure to many ML startups.
