Baseten is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Runtime Fabric team, which builds container runtime and storage layers specifically for AI inference. The manager sets technical direction, recruits and coaches systems engineers, and oversees work on containerd, runc and OCI projects, plus a tiered caching and weight delivery system. Requirements include prior management in systems or low-level runtime work, deep Linux container knowledge, open-source contributions to containerd or runc, and Go or C/C++ experience.
