OpenAI's Robotics team is hiring an electrical engineer to own the electrical backbone of its robotic actuator dynamometer and test cells. The work spans mains distribution and protection, load motor drives, braking, instrumentation wiring, DAQ integration, and safety circuits such as E-stops, interlocks and safe torque off. Duties include schematics, panel layouts, harness documentation, commissioning and calibration procedures. The posting prefers a degree in electrical engineering, robotics or mechatronics, plus hands-on experience with motor drives, servo systems, grounding, shielding and EMI/EMC troubleshooting. It's hands-on lab work at an AI company.
