OpenAI's Monetization Data Platform team is hiring a data engineer to build and operate batch and streaming pipelines that carry product usage, pricing, billing, ads, payments, revenue and general ledger data. The work covers canonical data modeling, quality and lineage guarantees, reconciliation, observability and self-service platform tooling, in close partnership with Product Engineering, Finance, Accounting and GTM. The posting asks for production data platform experience, distributed systems fundamentals, proficiency in Python, Java or Scala, and design-before-implementation documentation.
