OpenAI's Connectivity Software Engineering team is hiring a full-time engineer in San Francisco to build the wireless layer of its consumer devices. The work covers Bluetooth, BLE and Wi-Fi features across kernel drivers, BlueZ, wpa_supplicant and systemd/D-Bus services, plus pairing flows, link performance tuning, packet-level debugging, and certification and field-interoperability work. The posting wants deep Linux wireless experience, strong C/C++ with Python or shell, and hands-on driver bring-up on ARM64 or x86. Hybrid: four days a week in office. Relocation help is offered.
