OpenAI's Industrial Compute organization is hiring a Capacity Systems Software Engineer in San Francisco, hybrid with three days a week in the office. The person builds backend services, APIs, workflows and data platforms that act as a system of record for compute capacity planning, forecasting, allocation, deployment readiness and cost. The work is cross-functional, alongside capacity planning, fleet operations, infrastructure engineering, product, finance and supply chain, replacing spreadsheet-driven processes.
