Amazon is hiring an Applied Scientist for its AWS AI team in Seattle, onsite. The person will research and pre-train the Mitra family of large tabular foundation models on heterogeneous tables, build few-shot adaptation methods for regression and classification, and create agentic feature engineering for high-cardinality features and missing data. The posting asks for at least three years building business machine-learning models, a PhD or a master's plus six years of applied research, programming in Java, C++, or Python, and deep learning experience.
