Amazon's Fauna robotics perception group is hiring an applied scientist in New York to build visual-inertial odometry and sensor fusion for robots. The work covers real-time state estimation with cameras and IMUs, multi-sensor fusion using EKF and factor graphs, and embedded deployment on ARM and GPU edge hardware under latency and power limits. It also applies learned features, depth estimation and neural odometry alongside classical geometric methods.
