Amazon Robotics is hiring an Applied Scientist for its Vulcan Stow Perception team in Seattle, on-site. The role builds the perception stack for robotic stow systems: deep-learning vision models for item understanding, pose estimation, multi-view scene completion, segmentation and sub-250ms mesh reconstruction, plus deployment of models to edge hardware on robots. It asks for a PhD, or a master's with four years of experience, plus three years building models for business applications and hands-on deep-learning computer-vision work. Mentoring and prototyping with customers are part of the job.
