Apple's LUMIN&CE AI group is hiring an engineering manager to lead its Text Generation team, a small group of machine-learning engineers building generative AI for Apple Services. The role is hands-on: roughly 60% of the time goes to system design, coding and model development, with the remainder for technical direction, people growth and delivery. The work spans dozens of languages and regional cultural nuances. The posting asks for an engineering leader who can build next-generation generative AI and manage a team.
