PhysicsX is hiring an AI engineer to own its post-training product for adapting open language models to customer workflows. The work covers data preparation, supervised fine-tuning, preference optimisation, reinforcement learning, distillation, synthetic data, verifiers and evaluation, with training harnesses handed to production serving. Candidates need hands-on Python and PyTorch experience, distributed training, experiment tracking and evidence-based evaluation, plus product judgement. The role sits with the research group and is accountable for a capability customers can operate, including in customer-controlled or air-gapped environments.
