Waymo's Product Data Science team seeks a 2027 summer PhD intern for a hybrid onsite role in San Francisco. The intern will improve causal and predictive pricing models by adding feature granularity, applying regularization, enhancing time series estimation, and quantifying loss from mispredictions. The posting requires current PhD enrollment, causal inference or econometrics expertise, predictive modeling experience, and Python and SQL. Preferred experience includes causal machine learning such as Double Machine Learning and ride-hailing or marketplace companies. Pay is $85 per hour; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
