A 2027 summer PhD internship on Waymo's Systems Engineering team in San Francisco, focused on perception performance for pedestrians near the vehicle. The intern writes requirements and verification items for detection models, pulls and analyzes data from logs and structured tests, runs evaluations, and triages results to find false-positive clusters and release-over-release changes, helping Perception teams find headroom.
