Waymo's Release Evaluation (Simulation) group, part of its RO Performance team, seeks a 2027 summer software engineering intern at Master's or PhD level. The intern analyzes experiment results and helps fold successful strategies into production, prototypes scheduling algorithms that smooth computational load, and runs benchmarks on speed, throughput and resource efficiency. The posting asks for graduate study in computer science or a related technical field, data structures and algorithms, one general-purpose language plus SQL, and willingness to work extensively in C++, with familiarity in distributed systems, operating systems or data pipelines and statistics.
