Waymo's London hosts a summer 2027 internship in machine learning for simulation realism, part of the Software Engineering group. The intern contributes to existing projects, turns research ideas into them, and runs training and evaluation experiments. Applicants must be enrolled in a Master's or PhD in computer science, robotics or a related field, code in Python, and have deep learning experience with TensorFlow, Jax or PyTorch. Preferred: attention mechanisms, autoregressive architectures, diffusion on multimodal data, autonomous driving or robotics. Pay is £65,000 (Masters) or £80,000 (PhD).
