Waymo's Systems Engineering team is hiring a 2027 summer intern in data science for commercialization testing, based in San Francisco. The intern builds Bayesian forecasting models for small-sample test results, develops predictive models of fleet operations and vehicle behavior, and works with test engineers on closed-course and simulation experiments. Requirements: enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in a quantitative field, statistical inference and Bayesian modeling background, production-quality Python, and strong SQL. The posting pays $70/hour to Master's students and $85/hour to PhD students.
