A 2027 summer internship on Waymo's Simulation Realism team, working on world models for driving simulation. The intern implements, trains and evaluates generative models — diffusion, flow matching or autoregressive transformers — for video and physical world simulation, experiments with 3D/4D spatiotemporal representations, and tests conditioning, fine-tuning or distillation to improve temporal consistency, physical realism and inference speed. Applicants must be pursuing an MS or PhD in computer science, machine learning, computer vision, robotics or a related field, with Python and PyTorch or JAX experience. The role pairs the intern with mentors across Waymo and frontier AI labs at Google.
