Waymo's Software Engineering group is hiring 2027 summer interns to work on the Waymo Driver, its Level 4 autonomous driving technology. Interns compare machine learning and production behavior, cluster examples to find trends, judge whether those clusters show desirable behavior, and move good behavior into production systems. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's or master's in software engineering, be proficient in C++, and be fluent with data; robotics or ML experience is preferred. The internship is hybrid onsite in San Francisco, paid hourly, with separate bachelor's and master's rates.
