Hermes Agent runs locally, on servers, or through optional cloud hosting. It provides a CLI and desktop app, persistent memory, scheduled tasks, web and browser tools, image generation, text-to-speech, sandboxed terminals, MCP support, and messaging gateways.

It is aimed at developers, researchers, and teams that want an agent they can connect to different model providers and communication platforms. The agent is free under the MIT license, while model usage, hosted tools, and optional Nous Portal services may cost extra.
