OpenAI's Consumer Devices group is hiring a Systems Test Engineer for end-to-end validation. The work covers test plans for user journeys, edge cases and failure scenarios across devices, connectivity, cloud services and accessories; building and running hardware-in-the-loop environments; reproducing failures and collecting logs; and automating repeatable workflows in Python. The posting asks for system-level or integration testing experience on complex hardware-software products and the ability to turn loosely defined behaviour into repeatable procedures. The role builds validation for a new device category from prototype through launch.
