Waymo's Hardware Engineering group is hiring a senior systems integration engineer in Mountain View to bring up new autonomous vehicle platform architectures. The job spans electrical, mechanical and software work: integrating subsystems, leading root-cause investigations, defining interface requirements and working with vendor and manufacturing partners. The posting asks for a BS/MS and eight or more years of industry experience, familiarity with autonomous vehicle sensor suites, CAN/Ethernet chassis communications and ISO 26262, plus C/C++ and Python for diagnostics and test automation. Travel to vendor and manufacturing sites is about 10%.
