A staff-level software engineering role on Google's Pixel Camera team in Mountain View. The person designs and builds the real-time, on-device machine learning foundation that turns raw camera and sensor input into signals driving immediate app behavior. Work spans quantizing and optimizing models for NPU, GPU and DSP execution, hardware-aware architecture design, custom kernels, and training pipelines in JAX and TensorFlow with C++ integration. Requires eight years of software design and architecture experience plus C, C++, machine learning and embedded systems experience.
