Austin Science Network and EFF-Austin present a talk on neurocomputing, tracing how experimental and theoretical neuroscience meet computer science and engineering. Three speakers—David DeMaris, Owen McNally and Zoltan Nadasdy—discuss computational models and AI systems inspired by neural architecture, including artificial neural networks, brain-inspired algorithms and neurosymbolic AI, plus applications in machine learning, brain-computer interfaces, microprocessor architectures and neuromorphic computing. The event is open to the public, with a nearby social visit afterwards.
