Near Builder’s Cafe is an evening reading group run by Legion Events Calendar in Mumbai. Up to three people each present one original text — among them Turing on machine thought, Shannon on information, “Attention Is All You Need”, Sutton’s “Bitter Lesson”, Hayek, Ostrom or India’s privacy ruling — and set out a claim to defend, where it may fail, and how AI changes it. The room is deliberately cross-disciplinary, with guests approved so no single field dominates. It ends by asking what can now be built. This edition is TBD.
